Helping Children Feel Safe, Soothed & Secure

A trauma-informed anxiety programme for children aged 5–16, designed to support emotional regulation.

Anxiety Support Programme for Children

Empowering children to understand their emotions and build lifelong calming strategies.

At Healing Together, we believe every child deserves to feel safe, supported, and understood. Our trauma-informed anxiety programme is designed for children aged 5–16 who are experiencing ongoing stress or anxiety.

Delivered in schools, communities, or therapeutic settings, this six-session programme helps children explore how their brain and body respond to feeling anxious. Through engaging animations, sensory activities, and calming techniques, children experience emotional regulation and develop a personal plan for helping their body and brain to feel safe and calm.

“I like that I know how my brain works better. Flipping my lid really helped me to understand why I cant think properly when this happens. Now I know I am very sensory and I need to calm myself down. I now use these ideas when I am upset and getting stressed out and it helps. I feel I can talk to mum and dad better too.”

“I found this training fascinating, and it really made me think about the children I work with. It gave me a chance to reflect on my own experiences of stress and anxiety which is very helpful - it explained a lot of things I have wondered about!”
Deputy Head Teacher, Special School
“This group gives you ways to calm yourself and if you have a big emotion you can say what your feeling and they will help. There is a lot of breathing ways to help you and you can take a show and tell sheet to show your parents.”
